The Casa de Cultura Heloísa Alberto Torres (CCHAT) invites the public to the 5th Theater Show, an event that marks the closing of the 2024 classes of the Theater Workshop promoted by the institution. Open to the public and with free admission, the show takes place next Saturday (12/07), at 6 pm, celebrating the creativity and talent of the students.
Under the guidance of actor and workshop leader Gabriel Matos, participants will make their stage debut, presenting plays that reflect the learning accumulated throughout the course. The workshop, aimed at initiating theater, aims to stimulate the formation of new artists, working on fundamentals such as basic acting techniques, creativity, memory, voice, body expression and emotional memory.
The manager of the Casa de Cultura, Alan Mota, highlighted the importance of the event for cultural strengthening in Itaboraí.
“This moment is not only a celebration of the results achieved, but also a way to show the community the power of theater as a tool for transformation and artistic expression. We are proud of our students and excited to share these stories with the public,” said the director.
In total, three texts will be presented:
“The Journey”: Created by the workshop students themselves, the story follows a group of friends who stay in a mysterious house and discover that it is haunted. With touches of humor, the scene portrays the adventures and challenges faced by the group.
“DPA Detectives of the Yellow Building”: Inspired by the famous children’s series, the scene follows three young detectives who investigate the mysterious disappearance of shoes in a building.
“The Life of João Caetano in Cordel”: Written by the renowned poet and cordel writer William Mendonça, the play narrates the trajectory of the Brazilian actor João Caetano, illustrious son of Itaboraí, from his birth to his death, in the poetic style of cordel.
