CASA DE CULTURA HELOÍSA ALBERTO TORRES OPENS 2025 PROGRAM

The Casa de Cultura Heloísa Alberto Torres (CCHAT) is kicking off its 2025 cultural program in style. Next Tuesday (January 21), the space will open its doors with the exhibition “Como a reciclagem faz bem ao meio ambiente” (How recycling is good for the environment), by Luiz Frias, and will kick off a week full of free activities.

Also on Tuesday, right after the opening of the exhibition, the public will be able to enjoy the show “Dois na Arte” (Two in Art), with singer Bel Ferratt and maestro Ivan Cid. Supported by the National Aldir Blanc Policy (PNAB) public notice, the project combines Bel’s remarkable voice with the musical experience of Ivan, one of the main names in music in Itaboraí.

On Friday (January 24), the exhibition “Artes em Crochê” (Crochet Arts) by artisan Luciene Cavalcanti Barreto will open. Recognized for her crochet work, Luciene brings pieces that represent her journey in crafts. The event will be followed by a live performance by Duo Paíz, who promises to thrill the audience with MPB classics.

Saturday (25/01) will have a special closing ceremony for the cultural week. The Casa de Cultura will reopen from 5 pm to 9 pm with the Special Edition of the Sarau (Uni)versos Livres, which will have the theme “Itaboraí”. The event will include a discussion group, poetry presentations, storytelling and crafts. Names such as Pedro Garrido, creator of the sarau, and historian Paulo Maia are among the guests.

The undersecretary of Culture and manager of CCHAT, Alan Mota, celebrates the return of cultural activities.

“It is a time to promote the encounter between artists and the public. The Casa is beautiful, with a new visual identity, a revitalized garden, visits to the Alberto Torres family collection and many attractions. All of this is free of charge”, highlights Alan.

The program also includes the return of the Clay Art workshop and news about the House's historical collection.
