EXHIBITIONS

The Casa de Cultura Heloísa Alberto Torres promotes exhibitions that value cultural and artistic diversity, with an ongoing commitment to defending and including the intangible heritage of Itaboraí and Brazil in its programming. All activities carried out in the space have a strong educational and pedagogical bias, reinforcing the role of the House as an environment for learning and culture.
The Main Hall is the stage for the main exhibitions, which include works by local artists and artists from other regions. Painting, sculpture, photography, poetry and even exhibitions focused on cultural heritage are some of the themes that have occupied the space.
Another important and special space is the Local Artist Room Bira Alma Reggae, created to give visibility and recognition to Itaboraí's talents, whose works are displayed with due prominence.
Every year in September, the Casa de Cultura collection takes center stage, moving to the first floor for an exclusive exhibition. The space has also hosted events such as the Itaboraí Motorcyclists' Meeting, which included a display of old motorcycles, themed exhibitions and works by students from the Municipal School of Arts.
All exhibitions are free of charge, reinforcing the policy of democratizing access to culture and knowledge. The Casa de Cultura Heloísa Alberto Torres invites the public to explore, learn and be inspired by the various artistic expressions presented in its space.
