The Casa de Cultura Heloísa Alberto Torres is a vibrant and lively space that seeks to promote a democratic and participatory vision of culture, always with its doors open to the public and artists. Its diverse programming values inclusion and coexistence between different cultural expressions, ensuring a rich experience for visitors of all ages.
The events held at the Casa encompass a wide variety of sounds, rhythms and activities. From soirees, serenades, charming dances, lectures, artistic gatherings and musical performances to theater shows, ethnographic film screenings and book launches, the program is designed to please the most diverse tastes, almost always held in our wonderful garden.
Artists from various fields – music, literature, theater, dance, visual arts, photography and others – use the House as a place for rehearsals, meetings, launches and recordings of projects. The defense and inclusion of the intangible heritage of Itaboraí and Brazil in its programming is a commitment of CCHAT, contributing to the preservation and appreciation of local and national culture.
From the beginning, the space was made available to support other sectors of the City Hall and local artists, consolidating itself as an important meeting point and venue for cultural events. The policy of democratizing access and diversifying activities increased the visibility of the House and public participation.
With a varied cultural calendar and active promotion on social media, the Casa de Cultura Heloísa Alberto Torres continues to stand out as a space for celebrating art, culture and heritage in Itaboraí.
